Ancient land. Rich history. Enchanting wines.

The Rhone Valley is France’s second largest wine region, stretching from Vienne in the north to Arles in the south. The area is generally divided into two major regions: the Northern Rhone and the Southern Rhone.

Northern Rhone

The Northern Rhone is divided into eight distinct appellations: Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Château Grillet, Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage, Hermitage, Cornas, and Saint-Péray. The only red grape allowed for wine production is Syrah, but several white grapes are permitted, including Viognier, Roussanne and Marsanne.

Southern Rhone

The Southern Rhone allows for an array of red, white and rose wines, many of which are blended together. Perhaps best known for Chateauneuf-du-Pape, the region also includes the appellations of Gigondas, Rasteau, Vacqueyras, Tavel, Lirac, and Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise.
